Using whatmodel! means agreeing to what is below. It is short, and it is written to be read.
whatmodel! ("the app") is made and run by Yacine Rabehi ("we", "us"). Contact: support@whatmodel.fun.
You must be at least 13, or the minimum age of digital consent where you live if that is higher. If you are under that age, please do not use the app or make an account.
You may use the app on any device you own, for your own enjoyment. You may not resell it, take it apart to rebuild it as something else, or use it to build a competing catalogue.
An account is asked for when you add a car to your collection. Give accurate details, keep it to yourself — anything done through your account is treated as done by you — and do not choose a Spotter ID or a name that is offensive, impersonates someone, or belongs to somebody else. You can delete the account at any time in Settings → Account → Delete account. We may suspend one that is being used to abuse the service.
You are responsible for the photographs you take. Do not use the app to:
Your photographs stay yours. We do not claim ownership of them and we do not publish them. They are processed only to identify the car and to make the card you keep.
The app itself — the catalogue of 800 cards, their numbers, the artwork, the writing and the design — belongs to us, and may not be copied or republished. Manufacturer names and models are mentioned to describe real cars; we are not connected with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any manufacturer.
The app names cars using an automated service, and it will sometimes be wrong. It is a game, not a valuation, an inspection or a provenance check. Do not rely on it for buying, selling, insuring or arguing about a car.
Some features may be offered as a paid subscription or a one-off purchase. Anything you buy is sold and billed by Apple through your App Store account. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends, and cancelling is done in your App Store settings rather than by us — deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Prices and what each tier includes are shown in the app before you buy.
Purchases are handled by Apple and are subject to Apple's terms. Refunds are requested from Apple, who decide them — we cannot issue one, and we have no record of your payment details at any point.
Features may be added, changed or removed, and the app may be unavailable at times — including because the identification service it depends on is unavailable. If the app is ever discontinued, we will say so in advance where we reasonably can.
The app is provided "as is". To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost collections, or for anything that happens while you are out photographing cars. Where we are liable, the most we owe you in total is the greater of what you paid us in the twelve months before and US$50. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
You can stop using the app and delete your account whenever you like. We may end your access if these terms are broken in a way that harms other people or the service.
If these terms change, the date at the top changes with it, and anything significant will be said inside the app.
